The National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today that Boston Bruins forward Max Talbot will be suspended for the next two games for what they claim to be a case of extreme lateness coupled with a predatory nature on his hit against the New Jersey Devils Jiri Tlusty last night. The ban followed a phone hearing between league officials and Talbot.
This hit occurred midday through the second period of a game the Bruins eventually won, 2-1, in a shootout.
