What a difference a year makes.
After a season of scoring woes last year, The Boston Blades put up nine goals in an exhibition game to start their 2016/17 season.
On Oct 1, the Blades played the New England Eagles, a team of former military veterans who were also professional or college hockey players, to help raise awareness for veteran suicide. The Eagles came out strong early, matching the Blades with three goals apiece in the first period, but Boston was able to turn it on after that, outscoring the Eagles 6-1 in the second and third periods.
