Anton Blidh is out 4 months after shoulder surgery

The Bruins announced today that forward Anton Blidh will miss at least 4 months after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder.

Per the team, Blidh had surgery to "repair a ligament" yesterday. The surgery was a success, but the recovery time is the aforementioned 4 months.

Blidh played in the Bruins' first two preseason games, so the assumption is he tweaked something during that first Philly game.

While Blidh wasn't expected to feature heavily in the lineup this year, he's a good option for the bottom six in case of injury.

Here's to a speedy recovery!
