Alexander Khokhlachev, lucky number seven

Reminder: Alexander Khokhlachev has not been traded back to Russia and he won’t be leaving the Bruins organization for at least a year.

Because of the Bruins’ wealth of centers, however, Koko may have trouble breaking into the team unless he is willing to transition to the wing. Khokhlachev was recently named Boston’s top prospect entering the 2015-2016 campaign by ESPN.

He led the Providence Bruins in points (57) and assists (36) during the 2013-2014 season, but he struggled to maintain offensive consistency last season. On the other hand, he has a high skill level and is good at slowing down the pace of play to create chances, illustrated by his high number of shots on goal the past two seasons in the AHL.
