The Bruins’ minor league affiliates limped into the Christmas break on the back of some devastating losses last weekend. It’s particularly bad for the ECHL club which lost a couple of lopsided games. Here’s how it went down.
Providence Bruins
The AHL affiliate had been on a three-game winning streak with 16 goals over three games, but suddenly went silent on the offensive end. A loss last Friday in the back end of a two-game series at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 1-0, started the weekend slide.
Providence outshot the AHL Penguins 23-20 on the night but couldn’t find a way past Dustin Tokarski.
