After dropping a tough game against Hartford last Monday, Providence rebounded in grand fashion with wins last week over Bridgeport, 3-0, and in a rematch with Hartford, 5-2, before another 5-2 win over Bridgeport on Monday to close the game week.
Fresh off what has become a rare defeat this season, Providence hit the road for a midweek trip to face the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. After both teams cancelled each other out through the opening 40 minutes, Providence finally broke their scoring duct with a trio of third-period goals en route to a 3-0 win.
Matt Filipe opened the scoring with his first-career goal, followed by Zach Senyshyn and Karson Kuhlman.
