Compared to the bulk of the NHL's teams, Bruins rumors have lived a charmed existence over the past decade or so -- ultimately capped off by the Boston Bruins seizing the 2010-11 Stanley Cup.
Bruins left wing Milan Lucic was a part of that storied team which handed Boston its first Cup in 39 years. In fact, Lucic has spent his entire seven year NHL career with the Boston Bruins.
So, as a resident historian-in-play for the Boston Bruins, Milan Lucic had the perfect comeback for an overzealous Maple Leafs on Thursday who exhibited a short memory in his line of insults--

The Toronto Maple Leafs took the favored Boston Bruins to seven games in their 2012-13 Eastern Conference quarterfinal match-up, and had a 4-1 lead over the Bruins with just under 15 minutes left in game seven.
Then, as Milan Lucic pointed out, history happened. The Bruins scored three unanswered in regulation to tie the game with just fifty-one seconds left, before ultimately eliminating the snake-bitten Leafs on a Patrice Bergeron wrister just over six minutes into overtime.
It may be safe to bet that the object of the 25-year-old Boston Bruins left winger didn't leave Thursday's game feeling better for the refresher.
