While we’ve yet to receive the obligatory “Go Broncos!” Tweet from Coach Harsin, there has seemingly been an addition to Boise State’s defensive back crew, as confirmed by the player himself. Phillip Mills is a safety from Paloma Valley High in Menifee, California.
You can see his current high school stats here, the ‘Cliff’s Notes’ of which is that he had 57 tackles last year as a junior, while also blocking a punt and securing an interception. In watching his highlights, which can be seen below, Mills seems to have a particular instinct for run support, and a talent for shedding blocks.
