Another day, another watchlist appearance for Boise State junior quarterback Brett Rypien.
Already on the watchlist for the Maxwell Award honoring the nation’s top offensive player, plus two that honor off-field work, Rypien was one of 30 quarterbacks named to the Davey O’Brien Award watchlist Wednesday.
The only other Mountain West quarterback making an appearance is Josh Allen of Wyoming, a potential No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick. Both will be appearing at the Mountain West Football Media Summit next week in Las Vegas.
Rypien was named first-team All-Mountain West his first two seasons with Broncos.
