The NFL's top closer, John Elway, has spent the last couple of days wheeling and dealing. He's already executed a great-value trade with San Francisco that brought two-time Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis to the Denver Broncos.
But he hasn't stopped there. Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland reports that Elway offered the Cleveland Browns a 2016 first round pick in exchange for All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas.
To be specific, Browns were asking two 1st-round picks for OT Joe Thomas. They won't get that.
