Scott Matlock will be suiting up for the Boise State football team a little sooner than he expected.
The Broncos announced Friday that the recent Homedale High graduate was added to the 2018 recruiting class.
"They had an extra scholarship spot that they weren't planning on having," Matlock said. "As soon as they found out that they had that extra spot, they called me and brought me in."
When Matlock verbally committed in January, he said he planned to grayshirt, which means he would not have joined the team on scholarship until January 2019.
