Gordy Presnell’s hoops squad was picked first in the MWC in the preseason polls, but didn’t look like a championship caliber team in the early going. A funny thing happened though as 2017 turned into 2018 and the Bronco gals found their footing—they started to win, and moments ago, they won their most important game of the year to take the regular season MWC crown. There was a ton of parity in the conference this year and the Broncos found themselves in 3rd place a bit more than a week ago, but losses at the top gave the resurgent Broncos a chance to clinch the title with a win tonight in Laramie.
