Boise State senior quarterback Brett Rypien was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year on Wednesday.
Rypien is Boise State’s first MW Offensive Player of the Year since quarterback Kellen Moore in 2011. Rypien ranks 11th nationally with 29 touchdown passes and seven interceptions.
Rypien was one of seven Broncos on the All-Mountain West first team. The others: running back Alexander Mattison, offensive linemen Ezra Cleveland and John Molchon, STUD ends Jabril Frazier and Curtis Weaver and cornerback Tyler Horton.
Wide receiver Sean Modster made the second team.
