Boise State cornerbacks coach Ashley Ambrose is on the ballot for the 2018 College Football Hall of Fame class, while Capital High grad and former Arizona State quarterback Jake Plummer is on it for a second straight year.
Ambrose is one of 98 players and 31 coaches from the non-Football Bowl Subdivision ranks. He starrred as a defensive back at Mississippi Valley State, earning a first-team All-America selection in 1991. He played 12 NFL seasons for the Colts, Bengals, Saints and Falcons. Plummer was a first-team All-American in 1996, leading the Sun Devils to the Rose Bowl.
