The Buffalo Bills drafted former Boise State linebacker Tanner Vallejo in the sixth round, 195th overall, on Saturday.
Vallejo, who had 69 tackles in nine games last season before opting to end his senior year to have wrist surgery, was watched at March 30’s pro day in Boise by the Bills’ linebackers coach.
He is the eighth Boise State defensive player taken in the last six drafts. As a sophomore, Vallejo had a monster season with 100 tackles (16.5 for loss), three fumble recoveries and scored a pair of touchdowns. Moving around to different spots as a junior and with a nagging ankle injury, he had 57 tackles (eight for loss).
