MADISON, Wis. -- It was cold on Saturday afternoon, so maybe members of Wisconsin's football student section needed something to keep the blood flowing. Or perhaps they were simply bored with the on-field action. The Badgers were blanked at halftime.
Whatever the case, students began pelting the team's own cheerleaders with snowballs during the first half in an incident that quickly grew out of control. Badgers cheerleaders, standing behind the end zone, were forced to exit the field through a tunnel. They returned in the second half and stood on Wisconsin's sideline instead.
