Winning remains constant for Wisconsin despite changes, doubters

On Dec. 1, 2012, Wisconsin won its second straight Big Ten championship game. A few days later, head coach Bret Bielema stunned Badgers fans and most of the college football world by leaving for Arkansas.

Bielema complained about the inability to pay assistants more while in Madison, and hinted that winning a national title would be easier to accomplish at Arkansas than it would be at Wisconsin.

On Dec. 6, 2014, the Badgers played in their third Big Ten championship game. A few days later, head coach Gary Andersen pulled off an even more out-of-left-field move, leaving for the same job at Oregon State.
