When No. 1 ranked prospect Rashan Gary announced his commitment to Michigan on signing day, he had yet to fax in his national letter of intent. The NCAA prohibits college coaches from talking publicly about recruits who have not signed, so coach Jim Harbaugh was unable to acknowledge the commitment publicly.
That didn’t stop the Wolverines’ coach from celebrating the recruiting victory, and the Michigan athletic department tweeted out a video of Harbaugh seeing the news. That's ESPN's Mike Tirico, an Ann Arbor native, showing Harbaugh the video:
