Imagine, if you will, that Ohio State beats Michigan State on Nov. 21. Then the Buckeyes lose at Michigan a week later in the season finale. The three teams don't lose to anyone else, and because Michigan State has beaten the Wolverines, all three finish 7-1 in Big Ten play, tied atop the East Division standings.
Who would go to the Big Ten title game from the East in that scenario? We wouldn't know until Tuesday night before the championship game.
The Big Ten Network's Tom Dienhart laid out this possibility on Wednesday afternoon, and it would be a fascinating development if it happens.
