Iowa’s success under coach Kirk Ferentz in his 17th season -- a school-record 12 wins and the program’s first Rose Bowl in 25 years -- revealed a blueprint for the Hawkeyes to keep winning.
Sure, the schedule gets more difficult with nine conference games, and Iowa won’t get a 57-yard field goal early in every season to ignite the fuse of positive energy. But a foundation was built in 2015 that figures to make Iowa a favorite in the Big Ten West next season.
