Spring practice has finally come to a close around the Big Ten, so as part of an ongoing series, we're taking a look back at each team's spring breakout player. Who improved the most? And who surprised?
Next up in the series: Illinois.
Spring breakout player: RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn
Vaughn is hardly a new face or a surprise player for the Illini. But he looked strong during spring practice and could be in line for a big sophomore year.
He had an impressive true freshman campaign, rushing for 723 yards and six touchdowns, including a 180-yard, two-touchdown showing at Purdue.
