No, the motorcade streaming down State Street in Ann Arbor this afternoon isn't Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh's newest way of getting around. President Barack Obama visited the Michigan campus Monday for a final campaign speech ahead of Tuesday's election.
Nine thousand people showed up to see the president speak at the university's baseball stadium, according to Michigan's athletic department, and Harbaugh was one of them. Obama took notice. The president mentioned the Wolverines' undefeated start before nodding toward Harbaugh, who was seated in the grandstand, and telling the crowd he needed them to be as focused on winning the election as the coach was on football.
