The College Football Playoff committee moved Iowa up one spot to No. 4, Michigan State up four spots to No. 5 and -- ah, who cares?
It didn’t much matter where the committee slotted these teams Tuesday night, whether it was four spots lower or nearly anywhere else. If Iowa wins these next two games, it’s in the playoff. If Michigan State wins these next two games? Then it’s in the playoff.
No matter where the committee ranked these teams, it wouldn’t have had an impact on either team’s end projection. Personally, we were split between whether the Spartans should’ve been one spot ahead of the Hawkeyes.
