The Purdue Boilermakers picked up a quarterback commitment with a very familiar last name on Friday.
Griffin Alstott, the son of former Purdue All-American running back and six-time NFL Pro Bowl fullback Mike Alstott, committed to the Boilermakers over offers from Appalachian State, Troy, Akron and Coastal Carolina following an unofficial visit on Tuesday.

In addition to five offers, the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder signal caller was receiving interest from a number of Power 5 programs including Colorado, Indiana and Minnesota.
