Mark Dantonio doesn’t believe in coincidences.
When Michigan State’s team bus pulled up to the Big House on Saturday afternoon he asked his players to take 10 seconds of silence before they piled out to think about what might happen against Michigan later that day and what that might mean for them.
There’s no way anyone on that bus dreamed up the reality that would unfold a few hours later -- a botched punt attempt with 10 seconds left on the clock, returned for a touchdown by a little-known special teams contributor, enabling the Spartans to sneak away from Ann Arbor with a 27-23 victory.
