Michigan State safety Jalen Watts-Jackson is headed back to campus in East Lansing, where he's likely to receive a pretty warm welcome after starring in the memorable 27-23 win over Michigan this weekend.
Watts-Jackson fractured and dislocated his hip at the end of the 38-yard touchdown run as time expired. He had successful surgery on the hip Sunday and said via Instagram that he'd be happy to go through the injury again given the circumstances.
The surgery will require Watts-Jackson to keep weight off of his leg for the next three months, ending his first collegiate season on the field prematurely.
