Last season, Rutgers overcame a 25-point deficit to beat Maryland. On Saturday, those roles were reversed.
The Terrapins twice trailed by three touchdowns but rallied to beat the Scarlet Knights, 46-41, in Piscataway, N.J. Rutgers led 24-3 in the second quarter and then 31-10 right before the half.
It was Maryland’s first Big Ten win of the season.
The Terps got started off on the right foot in the second half, as safety Sean Davis intercepted Chris Laviano on the first play from scrimmage -- and, four plays later, converted that turnover into a touchdown.
