Late in the third quarter of Saturday's game in Bloomington, Indiana scored to go up 52-27 on Rutgers. I tweeted the following:
Not a good look for Kyle Flood. Rutgers getting absolutely destroyed at Indiana in Flood's return.
It seemed like a safe time to make such a proclamation. There were barely more than 20 minutes left in the game, during which the Hoosiers had sliced and diced the Scarlet Knights' defense to a fine zest. Kyle Flood's first game back from a three-game suspension surely was headed for a disastrous result.
Except I forgot one thing: Flood might as well be Han Solo, scolding us all to never tell him the odds.
