Whenever he has free time, Indiana's Mitchell Paige likes to volunteer at local Bloomington elementary schools. He helps with recess, and occasionally he'll give an inspirational talk to the kids.
His message is almost always the same.
"You really can do anything that you want to do," Paige tells them. "I’m living proof of that."
The elementary school playground is about the only place where Paige strikes an imposing figure. The Hoosiers' slot receiver is one of the smallest players in the Big Ten, listed at 5-foot-7 and 176 pounds. He had no Division I scholarship offers out of high school.
