Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh expects his team’s posture to stiffen, not slouch as they rebound from last Saturday’s heart-wrenching loss to Michigan State.
The loss dropped the Wolverines’ record to 5-2 in their first year under Harbaugh and puts an abrupt halt to the budding thought that they could play for a Big Ten title or more this season. Michigan would need both Ohio State and the Spartans to lose two of their last five games to have a shot at winning the East Division. It’s not so much the repercussions of the loss, or that it was the seventh win for Michigan State in the past eight games of this unfriendly rivalry, that create cause for concern about Michigan’s response.
