EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern’s 1995 Rose Bowl team reunited this weekend on campus as the school celebrated its magical, out-of-nowhere Big Ten title from 20 years ago.
Here in the present day, however, Iowa looks like the potential Big Ten bomber.
The No. 17 Hawkeyes (7-0, 3-0 Big Ten) continued their surprising start to the season, staying unbeaten by manhandling the No. 20 Wildcats 40-10 on the road. Even another injury to a key player couldn’t slow down Kirk Ferentz’s team, which might have just put a stranglehold on the Big Ten West Division.
Iowa dominated the stat sheet and throughout the game, save for a second-quarter blip when Northwestern’s dormant offense briefly awoke for 10 points.
