Chances are that, yes, the Iowa Hawkeyes are already aware of where they stand in the latest College Football Playoff rankings -- and they should be ecstatic.
The undefeated Hawkeyes moved up four spots from last week and are now No. 5 in the rankings, ahead of No. 6 Baylor and No. 8 Oklahoma State, both also undefeated. Iowa's No. 5 spot is also three spots higher than the Hawkeyes are ranked in both the coaches and Associated Press polls.
Iowa QB C.J. Beathard said earlier Tuesday that there’s been some talk among the team regarding the rankings.
