Before winning its final two games to lock up a bowl bid, Indiana went from being the worst 4-0 team in the country to being the best 4-6 team in the country.
The Hoosiers squeaked past an uninspiring nonconference schedule unscathed before finding ways to lose their first six games in league play. Kevin Wilson’s team couldn’t close out wins, but it was able to hang with the best the Big Ten had to offer. In games against Iowa, Ohio State and Michigan -- three of the league’s top four teams -- Indiana had a chance to win the game in the fourth quarter.
