Minnesota Gophers walk-on safety Kunle Ayinde has been surpassing expectations since he arrived on campus in Minneapolis, and that could result in some significant playing time this fall.
Ayinde, a native of Blaine (Minn.) has been drawing praise since the spring time where Gophers head coach Jerry Kill had this to say about the in-state safety, "(Adekunle) Ayinde at safety who kind of came out of nowhere, a walk-on from Blaine who kept getting better.
