Freshman Dare Already Leading at Rutgers

CHICAGO -- Quarterback Michael Dare did not wait long before he made himself heard. The incoming Rutgers freshman took his summer role seriously, and impressed senior receiver Leonte Carroo with the ability to rally younger players around him.

Quarterback is the ultimate leadership position, so the early actions of Rutgers freshman Michael Dare should be a good sign.

Dare enrolled in June, and immediately carried himself like a leader, said teammate Leonte Carroo.

“What I like about Mike Dare is it didn’t take for him to get there for him to not already start being a leader,” Carroo said.
