IOWA CITY, Iowa -- As Desmond King barrels toward the final season of his illustrious Iowa career, he lives with no regrets.
Despite his Michigan roots and longtime allegiance to Michigan State, King said he has fulfilled his destiny by playing for the Hawkeyes, with whom he earned first-team All-America honors last season and won the Thorpe Award.
It was with a tinge of sadness, though, that King this month explained the myriad reasons behind his decision to pass on the NFL in 2016, that he acknowledged his college career would end without a trip home to play in his home state.
