COLUMBUS, Ohio -- All fingers can safely be removed from Ohio State’s panic button.

After a couple weeks of unease about an inconsistent offense and some uncertainty about who should start at quarterback, Cardale Jones helped put a few doubts to rest as the defending national champions once again looked themselves.

Graded against their exceedingly high standards, the top-ranked Buckeyes may not have been flawless Saturday in the 38-12 victory over Western Michigan at Ohio Stadium to close out their non-conference slate.
