SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. -- Barry Alvarez said he saw the news and his heart sank. The University of Wisconsin athletic director and Hall of Fame coach had plenty of great players during his 16 years with the Badgers, but not many were as talented -- or as troubled -- as running back Brent Moss.
Moss, whose college career ended with -- and whose NFL draft hopes were derailed by -- an arrest for possession of crack cocaine in November 1994, was arrested in his native Racine over the weekend. He appeared in Racine County Circuit Court on Monday, charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor resisting an officer after being Tasered during a traffic stop.
