MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin's campus was basking in the afterglow of an emotional overtime victory against Nebraska the night of Oct. 29 that shifted the Big Ten West balance of power toward the Badgers. Kicker Andrew Endicott knew he should have been in a good mood.
But Endicott was having a difficult time celebrating. He had missed an extra point during overtime that could have cost Wisconsin the game and any shot at a potential national championship down the line. The Badgers' defense quickly earned a fourth-down stop to preserve a 23-17 victory and turn the miss into an afterthought.
