NEW YORK – Xavier’s Mikayla Fitzpatrick will compete in the NCAA Women’s Golf National Championship after qualifying as an individual at the NCAA East Lansing Regional last week. The Xavier women’s team, as BIG EAST Champions, finished 14th as a team.
On the men’s side, Marquette enjoyed its best finish in program history with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Austin Regional. The team score for the BIG EAST champions was 28-over-par 880 (290-29-293). Hunter Eichhorn was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles, tying for 18th place. He improved each round with scores of 73-72 and 71 for a 3-over-par 216.
