As the annual matchup with the Cincinnati Bearcats looms at the end of the week, the Xavier Musketeers welcomed another local opponent on Wednesday evening — the Ohio Bobcats.
Despite going into the half with just a one point lead, Xavier soared to an 82-61 victory thanks to a strong second half. Paul Scruggs led the way with 21 points, his second 20+ point game of the year. Scruggs also had a career-high eight assists as he picked up the responsibility as point guard as Quentin Goodin missed the game with the flu.
