For the first time since their 2015-16 NCAA Championship season, the Villanova Wildcats have picked up a victory over the Butler Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The Wildcats took care of business in Indianapolis on Tuesday night’s lone Big East game with an 80-72 victory over the plucky Butler squad. Villanova is now 6-0 in Big East play.
The game was close for the first half, as the Wildcats led for the majority but took a 41-36 lead into the locker room. The second half started as a close affair, as well. Butler pulled ahead 44-43 after a Nate Fowler bucket.
