Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points and helped bring Team USA to victory in a tight matchup against the Aussies. Without the contributions and unconscious shooting from Melo, who was 11-of-21 and 9-of-15 from 3-point land, it is entirely plausible that Team USA may have fallen to Matthew Dellavedova, Patty Mills, Andrew Bogut and Team Australia. However the New York Knicks superstar would not be denied in the 98-88 win that keeps them unbeaten in the early stages of the 2016 Summer Games in Rio.
