As the familiar refrains of "Roundball Rock" surged through television sets across the nation, USA Basketball picked up a 119-62 victory over China to open group play in Rio.
Team USA was led by Kevin Durant’s 25 points, while DeAndre Jordan and Carmelo Anthony tied for a team high with seven rebounds each.
Big East alums Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry both saw action. Butler recorded eight points and six rebounds, while Lowry recorded seven points, all on free throws.
Butler also played a game of rock-paper-scissors with DeMarcus Cousins to shoot a technical free throw (H/T @CJZero).
