The Georgetown Hoyas picked up their second victory over a former Big East foe of the season on Saturday, as they defeated the UConn Huskies, 72-69, at the Verizon Center.
Georgetown trailed by as many as 14 early in the second half, but used a HUGE Rodney Pryor dunk to spark a 16-2 run to grab the lead. The teams battled for the final 15 minutes, trading buckets, but the Hoyas ultimately held on.
The Hoyas were led by LJ Peak’s 21 points. Peak also led the squad with seven rebounds. Rodney Pryor added 14 points.
