Two games into their return to the Big East, the UConn Huskies are 2-for-2 in the win column.
The Huskies met the Hartford Hawks on Friday night and promptly sent them packing. A 69-57 victory moved them to a 2-0 record, a mark they’ve hit three times in the last four years.
Unlike their tremendous showing against Central Connecticut, UConn struggled a bit on the offensive end. They shot over 50 percent on 2-point tries, but 3-point shooting was again a struggle. The Huskies made just five baskets from 3-point land on 19 attempts. Furthermore, they shot 8-for-14 from the free throw line, a rather poor mark that luckily didn’t nip them.
