NEW YORK – Creighton went 2-0 this weekend with wins over Marquette and DePaul, extending the Bluejays’ current winning streak to nine matches. The win clinched 14th-ranked Creighton’s sixth straight 20-win season. Butler also extended its current winning streak to six matches with a sweep over the Bulldogs’ travel partner Xavier on Friday. Butler has strengthened its hold over third place in the league. Second-place Marquette went 1-1 this weekend, its only loss was to Creighton. St. John’s went 2-0 on the road with victories over Villanova and Georgetown.
