NEW YORK – Over the weekend the top spot in the BIG EAST volleyball standings was overtaken by Creighton. The Bluejays had an undefeated weekend against St. John’s and Seton Hall, losing just one set to the Red Storm on Friday. Marquette lost just their second match this season in league play as Butler won an exciting 3-2 match on Saturday.
With Creighton’s wins over the weekend, the nationally ranked No. 16 Bluejays have advanced their winning streak to five matches. Joining Creighton in the win-streak column are Villanova and Butler, both teams have strung together a three-match streak.
