For the second time in three years, the Villanova Wildcats are in the Final Four!
The Wildcats defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders 71-59 on Sunday afternoon in Boston. With the win, ‘Nova is the East Regional Champion, and will play in San Antonio next Saturday against either the Kansas Jayhawks or Duke Blue Devils. Thus, they have the opportunity to win their second National Championship in three years.
Villanova won despite turning in an off day from the field. The Wildcats shot just 19-for-15 from the field and 4-for-24 from the 3-point line. This included marks of 9-for-30 and 2-for-15 in the second half.
