A hot team playing a Division 2 school...at home...should be easy right?
Not necessarily.
The St. John's Red Storm only shot 33 percent in the first half and held a 28-21 lead at the halftime break. Nothing seemed to be falling for them, but were getting to the basket and getting open shots.
However, a 22-2 run to open up the second half extended the lead to 25 and eventually ran away with a 71-43 win over the Molloy Lions Monday night.
After taking a 2-0 lead on a Justin Simon steal and slam, the Red Storm did not retake the lead until the 6:30 mark in the first half on a Marvin Clark II layup.
